Nice Shot!
Still putting together an image disk for me? How's life going for you these days? I just ordered a new camera. Since I have no old Nikon lenses I went with the D60 kit that came with the 18-55mm VR af lens and the 55-200mm VR af lens. I shot with it at Best Buy but they were out of the kit. Got it new on ebay from a great seller and after cachback the entire kit wound up $419!!!! That's right....$419 total for the body and both VR lenses, US model, full warranties, 2 gig card...couldn't pass that up. I still prefer the d80 in most ways, but the size and a few of the features (along with that price!) put the little 60 on top. The Havlat contest ends tomorrow-good luck!
go Hawks!

yep
Still moving files around. I have had an issue with my Maxtor and needed to move all my files to a new HD. Did that yesterday. Just burned some DVD's for christmas of Suzy's family photo's. Inlaws should love it.
Now, back to the Hockey...I should have the DVD's ready by the end of the week.
Great to hear about the great price on the D60. Can't wait to see what you come up with at practice.
I don't know what type of
I don't know what type of camera you used, but I know Tony's is alot more intense than I can afford. Saying that, I use an Olympus OM10 with film. I had been looking for adjustable lens for my camera when I found many Nikon lens on ebay in my search.
Maybe one day I will upgrade a little to digital, but I cannot part with my Olympus....
Camera
Ladyhawk. Actually, my camera is a Sony a100. It is only a little over a year old and already discontinued. Sony has come up with some much nicer cameras. Also the lens is only a Quantaray which is very reasonable.
lastly, the reason Tib is telling me about the Nikon D60 is because over the summer, I received a Nikon D80. However, I am so use to the Sony, I am letting MostlyHarmless use it while she shops for a new camera of her own.
Your Olympus should do wonders. When you do go to digital...let me know, I would be happy to let you try out the Sony or Nikon(if MH isn't using it) to see if you like them any.
See you on the boards.
Tony
It was the same camera I
It's the same camera I used at the boards game over the summer....Hard to part with something that is 25 years old and in such good condition....Besides, it's one of the last things I have left from Germany - that and the coo coo clock......
Don't worry Jerry about me losing - it isn't a foreign concept for me....
It'll be nice to talk to some who have similar interests.....
Cameras
First, a slight correction on the price of the Nikon d60 kit- $519 -still unbelievable with those lenses, most good sellers have the body alone at more than that. Ladyhawk, as a life-long film shooter, the advantages of digital to me are incredible (no hyperbole). The cost and freedom from film is only the beginning. These things have lighting and speed capabilities far beyond that of mere mortal film cams, and what you can do in photoshop still amazes me! The flexibility and creativity they provide makes up for anything I miss about film.
Tony, can't wait to see more shots----just wish each of my days had about 10 more hours in them!!!! The Nikon should arrive about weds. I'll have about a week to read and watch the dvd's on it before I shoot at practice again on the 24th and 25th.
And what a win tonight!!!!
Go Hawks!!!

Olympus
...oh, and Olympus was well in the running for my $$$ as well-I think it was the E05? Very good and very affordable. Too tired to type. Sorry neither of you won the Havlat print-but keep signing up-nearly every winner has been from the BHMB!
