Gripping the sticks a little tight these days

Watching the games since and including the Detroit series, it looks like the team has changed in two aspects. First the motto of "do everything as fast as you can do it' seems to have been ignored. With that in mind-or because of it-the passing and shooting has become more tentative. After today's day off, I hope Q gets 'em flying again and builds up a little confidence in the kids.
Go Hawks!

Many teams who are

Many teams who are successful at the beginning, learn how to adjust for the end of the season... Those are the teams that win the playoffs... Right now, it looks like the Hawks are struggling as other teams have scouted them well... Queneville needs new direction to confuse the opposing teams... Especially on the PP.... Detroit showed that weakness in the Winter Classic as they pressured the Hawks on the PP... Notice that the teams who pressure the Hawks on the PP, aren't being scored upon - case in point 11 PP chances with Rangers with 5, 5 on 3...

Less passing and more shots... Lay off the fancy stuff and get back to the basics... Once the basics are successful again, the fancy stuff will come back.....

Sabres Wednesday

Hope they are back and scoring against Buffalo....it'd also be good to see them finish strong on the 5 of 6 at the UC before the break. Nik looked strong Sunday night, that needs to continue.
