Color pencil sketch, approx. 12x15" on drawing paper. I drew this pre-painting sketch during practice over the course of two sessions last week to serve as a study for a painting (to which Olympic themes may be added). The first day of practice was one of Coach Q's 'competitive drill workouts' where the boys build up a good sweat while trying to best each other in skill and strength drills. Hossa's smile is the standout feature here, and I'm happy to tell you that he was pleased with it as well!
